Hotel Macomber
727 Beach Drive - Cape May, NJ
This hotel was built in the early part of the twentieth century.
A great deal of paranormal activity has been reported in Room #10. Guest have reported the sound of things being moved around, dresser drawers opening
and closing by themselves, and lights turning on and off. Clocks mysteriously start and stop and run fast or slow in this room. Many guests have reported the
overwhelming feeling of a presence of someone in the room. The presence is so strong that it is
uncomfortable. The activity in this room has been linked to a widow who visited the hotel a few times a year after her husband died.
Apparently she was so happy there she continued to visit even after she died.

One night while I was on the ghost tour here, we stopped at this hotel. As our guide was explaining that electromagnetic
energy is believed to have a connection to paranormal activity, we heard a loud pop and sparks flew from the transformer on the wire
connected to the hotel! One of my companions whispered to me, "Did you see that?" No one else seemed phased by it - either that or they were too spooked to mention it.
Needless to say, it was quite coincidental, and I have noticed that the occurrence of coincidence increases
in and around locations believed to be actively haunted.
