Pevensey Castle
Sussex, England
Pevensey was originally built by the Romans in the fourth century. Although much of the castle is in ruin, the ruins are impressive and still visible are the dungeon, an oubliette, and a moat! There is a melancholy atmosphere around the place, and rumours of a pale lady who walks the top of the outer walls at dusk.
Who was the "Pale Lady of Pevensey" ?
We happened to arrive just at dusk, which I saw as an incredible bit of good luck! Ofcourse, the castle was closed for the day, but I was still able to get some photos - and some good evidence that something definitely happens at dusk!

I was intrigued with these results, so I returned to the castle during operating hours to have a look around. I had an odd feeling in the North tower, so I took a few photos. One shows an orb on the stairs.
