Peter Wentz Farmstead Ghosts
Shearer Road, Worcester, PA
Construction on the Peter Wentz Farmstead began in 1744 by Peter and Rosanna Wentz.
it was completed in 1758, and it still retains the original features the Wentz family
installed. This home is currently furnished as it is believed to have been at the time the Wentz's
occupied the porperty.
It was also during the Wentz's ownership that the farm got its main claim to fame. Yes, Washington
DID sleep here! It was at the Wentz farm that Washington made his plans prior to the
Battle of Germantown on October 4, 1777, and this is where he stayed after the battle.
