Protocols:
Vanadalism will not be tolerated. Take nothing that you didn't bring there. Take away everything that you brought - do not leave refuse unless it has been placed in a container for that purpose.
Everyone must obey the directions of Parastudy staff members and members of TCPR and treat these people in a respectful manner.
Partcipants are encouraged to bring their own equipment, including cameras, video recorders, audio recorders, emf meters, itc devices, and imaging equipment.
A positive frame of mind is essential. Skepticism is good but close-minded disbelief is not. A negative attitude towards the paranormal or even the site itself will generate negative energy. This may impede the investigation or possibly attract a negative energy to the investigation or the individual. Neither of these results is beneficial to the investigation.
If you find yourself having very negative thoughts or being overcome by sadness, grief, or fear during an investigation, please tell the group leader and remove yourself from the area. It is difficult to predict how the individual psyche will react with the energy of a specific site. Many of us have experienced these feelings at different times in our investigative careers and it is nothing to feel embarrassed about.
Please speak in a normal voice during the investigation. Whispering is easily mistaken for an evp. Please announce if you whisper or make any sound that may be picked up by recording equipment.
If you are going to take a photo, please say "flash" first to allow the others in your group to avert their eyes and avoid being blinded.
If a psychic investigator is in communication with a spirit, please DO NOT start yelling "flash" and begin taking photos. When this connection is made, only audio and video recording is permitted. The calling of "flash" destroys the connection and is disruptive during communication sessions. Please have your camera ready, though. Our psychic investigators will ask for permission to take photos. When the investigator says "flash", you may take a photo.
