Eisenhower House Ghosts

This home was bought by Dwight and Mamie Eisenhower as a place to relax and they retired here after his term as president. Apparently Mamie like it so much she never left! She lived in the house until her death in 1979. Three years later, some starnge occurences cause some National Park Employees to threaten to resign. Mamie's ghost most often appears in a corner of the living room and near a window in her bedroom. A psychic who visited the house at the request of park service employees was apparently able to contact the spirit of Mamie. She was upset that the Park Service was going to destroy part of the property to make a parking lot. The Park Service subsequently cancelled those plans.
