People have reported sightings of Confederate soldiers in the area referred to as Devil's Den. Gettysburg itself is said to be one fo the most haunted places in America. On top of the Devil's Den is a space called the "Sniper's Hole". After the battle, the body of a slain Confederate soldier was dragged into this opening and photographed. Legend has it that it is difficult to take photos that turn out in this location.

The first time I visited this location, none of the pictures I took in the Sniper Hole turned out. I returned twice since that time, and my photos came out fine.

In other areas of the Devil's den, I have experienced cold spots and I did get this picture in March 2000..
