Beechwood Inn

2839 Main Street, Route 6A Barnstable Village, MA 02630

The ghost of a young woman walks the hallway here. The house was built in 1716 on an old foundation that had been used as fortification against Indian attacks. For many years, the house was owned by a sea captain who had been a slave trader. Later owners and guests at the inn that opened on the property reported a variety of paranormal phenomena, including sighting of the ghost, strange footsteps, moving objects, and eerie feelings of an unseen presence
